Consumer prices · 29 categories · latest 2026-07-01
The same category from more than one publisher. The national statistics office is the record; the IMF's series are its own compilation and can differ in definition, coverage and vintage.
Frequencies are separate source series, not interchangeable observations. Annual measures retain their source definitions.

| Vietnam | Vietnam NSO | whole series | confirmed | VNM.CPI_VNSO2019_*_INDEX.M | 2026-10-07 | Possible index rebasing, Published rate disagrees with its index |
| After NSO moved CPI into the E 11 catalogue, its index table added 2025 rows in a new level regime while retaining the description 'base preriod 2019'. The headline falls from 117.1367 in December 2024 to 101.7577 in January 2025, yet the separately published MoM is +0.9812% and YoY is +3.6296%. The same mismatch recurs across all 17 CPI categories, alongside four source label transitions. The 2025 levels therefore cannot be appended to the 2019-base series or given a new reference-period label from the available metadata. Their immutable raw values are retained; published MoM, YoY and annual-average rates continue because they remain internally consistent and agree with NSO's 2025 releases. | ||||||
