What building it taught us

The connector's own docstring, verbatim. It lives beside the code so it cannot drift from it.

Bahrain CPI from the Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA).

iGA publishes six complete OpenDataSoft exports plus a monthly workbook. The exports carry national COICOP detail, published monthly and annual changes, and Bahraini/non-Bahraini division indices. The workbook extends the headline to January 2011, publishes the current expenditure weights, and retains both the April-2019 and 2006 index scales. Those two scales remain separate source families here even though iGA republishes them in parallel.

In June 2023 the portal removed leading zeroes from division and group codes without changing labels or values. The connector treats that as a formatting transition: `01.1 and 1.1` share one stable iGA identity, while both raw aliases remain documented in metadata.
